Miles gained a love of ants as a child growing up in the forests and rolling hills of Northern Idaho. For years, he and media specialist Ben created videos on keeping ants and filmed outdoor adventures, making ant keeping more accessible and engaging for a global audience. Miles' background in ant research, public policy, science communication, and design/fabrication have been combined to create Trapjaw Science Communications. Along with making outreach media, Trapjaw now has the capabilities to expand in to larger exhibit and research tools, and new educational experiences, alongside illustrator and ecologist Jen.
